Posted: 17-Feb-24 Location: Marshall, Minnesota Salary: Open Internal Number: 1845 Location: Marshall, MN Full/Part Time: Full Time Employment Condition: Probationary Job Description: The Psychology program at Southwest Minnesota State University is seeking applications for an Assistant Professor of Psychology. Position responsibilities include teaching a 24-credit course load per year (12 credits each semester), covering foundational areas of psychology related to social psychology, along with required major courses and electives. The person in this position must have the necessary credentials to teach General Psychology, Social Psychology, Research Methods, and other courses in related areas. Duties also include student advising, contributing to student growth and development, committee assignments, engaging in ongoing professional development, service to the University and community, and engagement with the broader Minnesota State College and University System. The SMSU psychology program is small and collegial, with faculty invested in teaching, advising, and mentoring students in both our on-campus and online majors. In addition, the Psychology Program has a strong record of involvement in SMSU concurrent enrollment course offerings, and supervision of instructors in the College Now Program may be necessary.
