The Certificate in Election Administration (CEA) Program at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs is seeking a highly motivated, creative, energetic, and results-oriented Student Recruitment Manager. The position will develop and implement a student recruitment program to increase enrollment and enhance the profile of this unique online program. This position will work directly with prospective students as well as student recruitment networks including student advisors, career counselors, transfer advisors and others to build interest in the program. The position will also provide admissions support.

Salary range is $50,000 – 56,000. Total compensation includes an excellent benefits package including medical/dental/vision/life/LTD insurance, 403(b) retirement plan, 22 PTO days, one personal holiday in addition to the existing 11 University holidays.

Responsibilities

Student Recruitment and Engagement (65%):

• Recruit and facilitate enrollment of students in the CEA program at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs.
   
• Establish relationships and implement recruitment efforts for the CEA program with student recruitment and career networks, including career counselors, student advisors, and others at the undergraduate and community college level.

• Coordinate and deliver information sessions (both online and in person) to recruit students to apply and enroll in the CEA program.

• Serve as one-stop contact for prospective students interested in the CEA program; provide advising and assistance throughout the admission process to students, student advisors, and career counselors.

Development of Communications and Recruitment Materials (20%):

• In collaboration with program leaders and collegiate stakeholders, develop and manage a communications plan and marketing materials for CEA student recruitment efforts.
   
• Create and maintain a database of CEA student success stories and regularly solicit contributions to the database from current students, alumni, faculty, advisers, and staff.
   
• Monitor trends in recruitment communications, in the media, and in higher education to keep communications relevant.

Program Strategy, Planning, Implementation, and Success Monitoring (15%):

• Develop and implement innovative programmatic activities to support recruitment and outreach strategies.
   
• Collaborate and coordinate with Humphrey School Admissions, the UMN Office of Admissions, and others on collegiate-based recruitment operations and enrollment strategies.
• Evaluate and report on ongoing assessments of the goals and effectiveness of CEA activities designed to enhance student recruitment and outreach.

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree with preference in a liberal arts field
• 1 year of relevant full-time experience in a higher education setting (e.g., admissions, student recruitment, student services administration)  

Desired Qualifications:

• Knowledge of student recruitment cycles, strategies, and networks.
• Experience in marketing communications, especially writing, editing, and communications planning.
• Experience with website content management systems and social media tools.
• Experience delivering professional presentations, workshops, or trainings.
• emonstrated commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in practice.
• Project management experience.
• Ability to work some evenings and weekends and travel to professional conferences as needed.
• Proven ability to collaborate as a member of a team and to take initiative and work independently.
