Posted: 14-Nov-21 Location: Cloquet, Minnesota Salary: Open Internal Number: 1518 Location: Cloquet Full/Part Time: Full Time Employment Condition: At Will Job Description: The Vice President of Academic Affairs serves as the Senior Academic Officer of Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College, providing leadership, oversight, and support of the deans in academic affairs and faculty, including concurrent enrollment faculty and faculty mentors. FDLTCC's 1994 Land Grant status creates a faculty context unique for two-year institutions that includes research, publication, presentation and service to college and community, in addition to teaching. The Vice President serves as the college's Accreditation Liaison Officer for the Higher Learning Commission and leads the college's institutional effectiveness, institutional research, planning, and accreditation efforts. Successful candidate will be responsive (or attentive) to the uniqueness of Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College's mission and its status as both a Tribal and state community college. Required Qualifications: Resume must reflect all minimum qualifications. Please enter your experience in chronological order, including the month and year of employment. · Master's degree · Two years of teaching experience in higher education · Demonstrated leadership experience · Experience working with Indigenous peoples and organizations · Experience working with minority serving institutions or Tribal Colleges · Supervisory experience and understanding of confidentiality in relationship to this position Preferred Qualifications: · Doctorate degree in a liberal arts discipline · Five years postsecondary teaching experience predominantly in the classroom · Demonstrated knowledge of institutional and specialized accreditation and other regulation in higher education. · Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a faculty engaged in teaching, research, publication and service. · Commitment to advancing indigenous higher education and the 1994 Land Grant mission · Leadership experience in postsecondary education · Commitment to equity and student success · Experience in fiscal planning and budgeting · Experience with strategic planning · Excellent written and oral communication skills · Experience with academic research · Experience working productively within a collective bargaining environment.
