The search will remain open until the position is filled.RESPONSIBILITIES:Activities related to teaching and learning including but not limited to:Instruct and facilitate nursing courses in classroom, lab and clinical settingsCurriculum developmentAssessment of student performanceStudent advising and retentionParticipation in accreditation processInterpersonal relations, effective team member skillsCollaborate with industry partnersMaintenance of professional skills and credentialsParticipation in college promotional/success activitiesQUALIFICATIONS:Minimum:Education RequirementBachelor's degree in nursing or a graduate degree in support of the field of nursing and/or education with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing if the graduate degree is not in Nursing.A nursing program director must hold a graduate degree in nursing, nursing administration, nursing education, public health nursing or a nursing clinical specialty.Occupational Experience RequirementTwo full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience as a registered nurse at the professional level.As a registered nurse at the professional level, experientially qualified to accomplish the mission, goals, and expected student and faculty outcomes; including experiential preparation in the areas the faculty will teach.Recency RequirementOne year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.Professional RequirementCurrent unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse (RN) with current registration in Minnesota.Other Requirement:Compliance with clinical affiliate policies for attending on-site clinical teaching assignments.Preferred:Master?s degree in nursing or completion of MSN within 3 years of hire.Recent experience in medical-surgical and OB/MCH/PedsExperience in teaching or training in nursingBroad spectrum of nursing experienceExcellent interpersonal and team-building skillsDemonstrated computer software proficiencyCommitment to excellence in working with studentsNursing simulation experienceAlexandria Technical Community College (ATCC) provides quality hands-on and liberal arts education to more than 4,200 students each year, and has been ranked Minnesota?s #1 Community College since 2020 (Wallethub, Niche, and UniversityHQ).
