Laboratory/Field Technician: Entomology and Biological Control - Heimpl Lab
We seek a laboratory/field technician with experience working with insects in the laboratory and sampling them in the field. The project involves stinkbugs (Pentatomidae) and their egg parasitoids, with a focus on both invasive and native species. Specifically, the research focuses on the brown-marmorated stinkbug and its egg parasitoid Trissolcus japonicus. Duties will include collaborative studies of host-plant use by stinkbugs, and contribution to studies of stinkbugs and their parasitoids. Other duties will include ordering laboratory supplies and helping to manage and organize greenhouse and laboratory spaces. Bargaining unit consideration begins on May 21, 2025 and ends on May 28, 2025. This position will be a temporary full time, 75-100% time AFSME
