We are hiring for an adjunct faculty opportunity developing & teaching Business Practice Management for Integrative Health Professionals (3 credits) in our Nutrition program starting in our summer term. This is a part-time, non-benefits eligible role.
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the subject matter expert and instructor for the new Business Practice Management for Integrative Health Professionals course. This individual will work with the instructional designers at our online program partner, Capital Education to frame the content into a strong online course during the summer (starting June 6, 2021). This person will also teach the 7-week course for the first time in October of 2021.
Course Catalog Description: Success in functional and integrative healthcare requires business competence and leadership skills. This course will focus on sound business strategies and practices that drive the development, management, and implementation of practical programs and processes that support your patients, providers, and the entire team where integrative person-centered care is the medical/ health care model utilized, and collaborative teams come together to support the patient's holistic health. Starting with integrative health care principles and building foundations in marketing, sales, and business ethics this course will have students create a business plan that incorporates learned business models, leadership approaches, and team development methods. Students will integrate professional and personal resiliency strategies to manage business growth through the business development cycle to ultimately lead to organizational success.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Serve as Subject Matter Expert during the online course development process
Teach Business Practice Management for Integrative Health Professionals
Master's degree is required, Doctoral or professional degree is preferred
Degree should be in business or related field or have a minimum of 18 credits in business or related field
1-3 years of University level teaching is required
Previous experience teaching in business is preferred
Online teaching experience is preferred
