This is a Wisconsin Dairy Innovation Hub (https://dairyinnovationhub.wisc.edu/) funded position for two years with the potential for renewal for an additional year based on continued funding and satisfactory performance. This is a full-time, 9-month, teaching position, with a teaching load of 24 credit hours (eight courses) per academic year.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLSANDABILITIES: The following qualifications are required:
PhD in Agricultural Economics or a related area is required at the time of employment. ABD (all but dissertation) candidates with a completion date prior to August 23, 2021 will be considered.
Strong interest in and ability to teach undergraduate classes in one or more of the following areas: agribusiness management, agricultural business accounting, agricultural finance, or agricultural marketing.
Strong communication skills: listening, speaking, and writing (including proofreading and editing).
The following qualifications are preferred:
Documented evidence of successful teaching at the college level.
Business and/or agricultural experiences in the U.S. or comparable setting.
Strong interest in and ability to provide advising to undergraduate students
Interest in and ability to advise co-curricular activities such as student clubs/organizations, internships, and/or undergraduate research.
