Under general direction, manages fiscal budgeting, business plans, and financial accounts and operations; develops and implements policies and procedures; performs cost analyses; prepares statistical reports; supervises staff; manages human resource activities.
Coordinates with controllership office the proper recording of journal entries (e.g pre-paids, GME, malpractice etc.) and annual reports.
Prepares reconciliations for designated funds on a quarterly basis.
Maintains the Deans funds and performs timely reconciliations and reporting on new funding and/or amounts uncommitted.
Uses Workday reports and analysis to provide support on non-SLUCare financial balances and related decision-making.
Performs quarterly monitoring of hard dollar actual spend compared to the final assigned budget â“ communicate with Departments where there is trending towards over-spending.
Assists with the gathering of data and review of the annual capital requests.
Acts as a representative at the Vice Deans Meetings â“ presents on HSC funds flow, special project requests, etc. (various topics requested throughout the year).
Develops and Maintains the Annual Education Budget; assists in the development of an annual budget and presents allocation of the hard dollar budgets tuition-based dollars assigned to departments; distributes the Operating Budget Bases to HSC departments and coordinates with controllership office/HR the inclusion of faculty promotions and merit increases
Manages the HSC requests and the preparation of presentation materials (e.g. budget funds flow compared to prior year(s).)
Manages the Department Submissions and serve as resource for HSC departments and prepares the Resident GME MDFea schedules and invoicing/receivable (monthly basis-mid month)
Participates in the LCME survey and OMS survey each year.
Communicates the annual bonus plan; gathers department results and reconciles to reports; validates eligible faculty and submits the onetime payments.
Compiles the Salary Recovery Data from Departments; validates data and creates the journal entry to initiate the interdepartment funds transfer.
Acts as a liaison for payroll related items for the HSC departments.
