The Assistant Director of Financial Aid, Operations is integral to the Financial Aid leadership team at Anoka-Ramsey Community College and Anoka Technical College. The aligned colleges' Financial Aid Office is focused on providing excellent student-centered and equitable service while maintaining aid compliance. The position is responsible for assisting the Director of Financial Aid in managing a budget compromised of federal, state, and institutional aid programs which total approximately $40,000,000. This position provides leadwork to the department's personnel across two colleges, three campuses.
Duties include providing leadership for various office functions (including but not limited to training and guiding work of personnel), management and expertise for the information system modules supporting these functions, as well as providing significant presentation/outreach support/coordination to the campus community and local communities. This position also coordinates and oversees the functions of the Financial Aid Office, provides administrative support to the Director, and acts as the Director in their absence. The successful candidate will have a passion for student service, equity, inclusion, and continual personal learning/growth.
This position will have responsibilities at all three campuses and the home campus will be the Coon Rapids campus.
Demonstrated commitment to fostering a positive environment in a community full of diverse cultures, perspectives, and populations
Two (2) years lead work or supervisory experience
Demonstrated group presentation experience
Demonstrated experience interpreting, understanding, and explaining complex regulations and policies, such as those governing financial aid programs to diverse populations
Experience advocating for students from underrepresented populations including those from historically marginalized populations
Proven high level of executive management skills including thorough knowledge and understanding of postsecondary education
Demonstrated experience in project management and policy/procedure development
Three (3) years of financial aid experience
Experience using financial aid software including ISRS, COD, NSLDS, and FAA Access to CPS
Experience with federal, state, or Minnesota State policies and procedures related to financial aid administration.

About Anoka-Ramsey Community College
Anoka-Ramsey Community College (ARCC) is a multi-campus institution and a member of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system. The Coon Rapids Campus is located on the banks of the Mississippi River twentymiles north of downtown Minneapolis. The Cambridge Campus is located on west Highway 95 on the Rum River in Cambridge. Beginning in 1965 with 600 students in a wing of Centennial High School in Circle Pines, Anoka-Ramsey Community College has grown considerably. In 1967 the college moved to the current Coon Rapids Campus of approximately 103 acres. The Cambridge Campus opened in 1978 and has shown consistent growth in enrollment and facilities. In addition, students may complete many ARCC college courses at convenient off-site locations throughout neighboring communities. During the 2008-2009 academic year, more than 11,000 students completed credit classes at the college.
