Responsible for programming and engagement support for the Office of Jewish Student Life. Assists the Director in implementing programming and initiatives to advance Jewish community on campus. 1. Develop and implement programs and initiatives that foster a more inclusive campus community for Jewish students, including faculty and staff as feasible *Implements both active and passive programming initiatives with collaborative partners to expand community and support for Jewish students, faculty and staff *Creates or recommends leadership development opportunities for Jewish students *Supports the Director in advocacy for inclusive policies and practices for Jewish students, faculty and staff across the institution *Assesses the needs of students to inform programming and provides connections to other offices across campus
2. Manage and supervise the peer engagement student staff *Hires 4-7 peer engagement student staff members each year in partnership with the Director *Provides direct supervision and mentorship to student staff *Ensures fully functioning and efficient workflow of student staff responsibilities *Manages student staff schedules and time-sheets
3. Implement education efforts designed to increase community-wide understanding and skills for creating an inclusive environment *Works with Director to implement educational programs *Conducts workshops for students *Serves as a resource for students on research regarding Jewish identities *Schedules student organization weekly check-ins to discuss pressing issues or areas of need
4. Manages web blog, social media and promotional materials in collaboration with Coordinator *Oversees Lehigh Hillel blog and social media accounts and updates material as needed *Determines the nature of blog and web page content, appropriate length and formatting *Serves as primary contact for blog and social media inquiries and requests

This position is expected to partially work remote while the campus remains in a limited capacity due to COVID-19; in the future it is expected that this position will be staffed on campus where they can be fully accessible to the Lehigh community.

Bachelor's Degree in Jewish/Religious Studies or Student Affairs or equivalent combination of education and experience
One to three years related work experience
Ability to build, foster and maintain positive professional relationships
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and a high level of customer service required
Supervisory experience preferred
Solid computer skills with experience using word processing, spreadsheet and database software
Solid critical thinking and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently
Attention to detail and organizational skills required
Successful completion of standard background checks including but not limited to: social security verification, education verification, national criminal background checks, motor vehicle checks, PATCH, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearance and credit history based upon the requirements of the position
