The Department of Biological and Behavioral Sciences at Fontbonne University is looking for a full-time Laboratory Manager. The position is benefits eligible and is an 11 month position. The candidate should have a Master's degree in a STEM field, preferably with a strong background in chemistry.

Responsibilities of the Laboratory Manager include:
Prepare, organize and stock lab spaces; order supplies and chemicals as needed;
Maintain and report on status of departmentment budget; reconcile credit card;
Serve as Departmental Safety Officer – Chemical and Laboratory; oversee collection and proper disposal of hazardous waste;
Maintain lab instruments and equipment;
Assist faculty in the design of new labs and experiences; assist faculty in preparation of research-related chemicals and reagents;
Supervise and train laboratory work-study students, as needed.
Qualifications: the successful candidate will possess:
Master's degree in the natural sciences with a strong background in biology, chemistry and microbiology;
Experience with hands-on, inquiry-based laboratory teaching;
Conscientiousness when working with chemicals and other potentially hazardous solutions.
