The University of Minnesota’s Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences is seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible Adult Psychiatrist to fill an academic track faculty position at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level. The position consists of 0.85 clinical FTE in our Adult Inpatient Psychiatry Services, and 0.15 FTE academic FTE for dedication to administrative, research, teaching, or service activities.
The 0.85 clinical FTE will be to provide care within the Inpatient Psychiatry services with a focus on serious mood disorders, and will include working with medical students, residents, and interprofessional staff members. The ideal candidate has previous experience and expertise in working with acute psychiatric conditions and management in the delivery of care.
This is a unique opportunity to combine delivery of care with education on effective outcomes and development of care delivery systems. The faculty member in this role will exercise creativity in clinical care and clinical programming, will teach and supervise outstanding trainees, and will have the opportunity for involvement in research. Graduate of an accredited ACGME/AOA Psychiatry residency training program.
BC/BE with the ABMS
Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure.
Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.
