Job Duties/Responsibilities: This Post Doctoral Associate position is part of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine / Programs in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science / Minnesota Rehabilitation Biomechanics Laboratory.
60%: Work on an NIH funded study to investigate the intersegmental kinematics of the cervical spine using biplane radiography. This individual will be involved all components of the study including recruitment, data collection and analysis, and dissemination of findings.
25%: Assist with research studies to quantify intervertebral disc health and integrity using quantitative MRI techniques.
15%: Contribute to student mentorship which regularly incorporates PhD students from Rehabilitation Science and Biomedical Engineering, professional physical therapy students, medical residents, medical students, and undergraduate students and volunteers.
Required Qualifications: PhD in Bioengineering or a related field Programming experience in Matlab or related languages Demonstrated research and publication record Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications: Motion Analysis experience Biplane Radiography experience Background in medical imaging
