Research Support - Laboratory/Non-Laboratory, Staff/Administrative
Postdoctoral Fellows are sought to join an interdisciplinary research team in the Institute for Molecular Virology that is focused on the application of quantitative fluorescence imaging technologies for ongoing studies of human retrovirus particle biogenesis. Individuals with a strong scientific background and appropriate publication record with an interest in conducting state-of-the-art research in the area of quantitative fluorescence imaging are being sought. Previous experience in cell biology, live-cell imaging, and quantitative fluorescence is highly desirable. Experience in virology is not essential. The selected candidate will maintain a well-organized lab notebook, have proficiency in relevant literature of this research area, be involved in the preparation for first- and co-authored manuscripts, and make presentations at professional meetings. This individual will participate in the preparation and submission of grant applications. Doctoral degree in the Biological or Physical Sciences, or in a relevant engineering discipline expected. Must have a strong desire to participate as part of an interdisciplinary research team
