Employment Status: Full-time, At-Will, 'Exempt' position, included in the Management Personnel Plan (MPP).

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some evenings and weekend hours may be required.

Job SummaryUnder the general supervision of the Executive Director of Institutional Equity & Compliance, the Equity & Compliance Investigator is responsible for receiving, processing and investigating complaints involving Title IX, DHR, OHR, ADA, and Whistleblower policy (collectively Equity). The incumbent will perform entry-level complaint processing, routine investigative work, data collection, interviews, and preparation of draft investigative reports.
Working knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to compliance with nondiscrimination laws
Including but not limited to: FEHA, the Americans with Disabilities Act, FERPA, Title VII and Title IX.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with administrators, staff, faculty, students and community partners.
Education and Experience
Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and three years of related experience required.
J.D. or other related Master's Degree preferred.
Experience working in higher education preferred.
