The University of Minnesota, Department of Pediatrics, seeks candidates for a faculty position in Adolescent Medicine in the Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Health. The rank of this position will be at the Assistant Professor level, on the Academic Track.
This is a 100% full time position, with 60% time devoted to clinical duties serving adolescent patients in a hospital-based clinic. The physician faculty will also join the Prevention Research Center (PRC) Core Project, focused on optimizing adolescent health services and reducing health disparities in rural areas. The faculty member is expected to pursue scholarly work that advances health equity, including the equitable delivery of adolescent health services and addressing the health needs of youth who face barriers to better health. The faculty member will take the lead in our Adolescent Medicine Rotation for pediatric and medicine-pediatrics residents and will have opportunities to participate as faculty in the interdisciplinary Leadership Education in Adolescent Health fellowship.
Essential qualifications include M.D. or D.O. degree, Board Certification in Pediatrics, Fellowship training in Adolescent Medicine, and Board Certification/Eligibility in Adolescent Medicine.
