The Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Minnesota is seeking a full time American Board of Thoracic Surgery certified/eligible surgeon in the academic or master clinician track (track to be determined by qualifications and interest). Rank may be at the Assistant, Associate or full Professor level, depending on applicant qualifications. Caseload will be a full range of cardiothoracic surgery including myocardial revascularization, valve replacement/repair, aortic reconstruction, minimally invasive procedures, left ventricular assist device (LVAD) implantation, and heart and lung transplantation. The successful candidate will have strong technical and team skills.
The position will be based at the University of Minnesota and affiliated community hospitals. He/she will be expected to teach at all levels and participate in scholarly activities as a full time member of the Department of Surgery.
