Research - Laboratory/Non-Laboratory, Staff/Administrative
The Developmental Cognition and Neuroimaging Lab is seeking a research professional to assist on the data analysis portion of our research projects. A successful applicant must be able to work well independently, also in a team, and to communicate clearly in a collaborative environment with a diverse range or experiences and disciplines. She/he must also have familiarity with different tools to process and analyze large datasets of structural and functional neuroimaging data.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: - Creating, optimizing, and maintaining various code for analytics and visualizations (55%) - Processing and quality control of neuroimaging data (35%) - Laboratory duties; conforming to the practices and standards established in the lab. - Attending lab and computing meetings and other general lab duties (10%)

Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience OR a combination of related education and work experience to equal 6 years - Experience with data processing and analysis. - Job or intern experience in a research environment (academic or industry) - Sufficient computer knowledge to interface with a variety of database and mathematical software such as Matlab, R, Python, Neo4j, SQL, and SPSS. Language proficiency is not critical and the incumbent will develop proficiency through coding projects - Linux/Unix command line proficiency - Knowledge of basic linear algebra and computational math - Effectiveness in organizing tasks and setting priorities, communicating with others, working efficiently with minimum oversight, interacting constructively with faculty and staff, and the ability to be adaptable, creative, and a quick learner
Preferred Qualifications: - Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field - Experience with functional or structural brain imaging (i.e. MRI imaging) data and software tools such as fsl, freesurfer and ANTs - Experience in managing software projects in a team using version control - Strong background in physics, mathematics or statistics - Programming proficiency in MATLAB, python and/or R
