Research - Laboratory/Non-Laboratory, Staff/Administrative
Duties and Responsibilities:
70% - Perform molecular biology and protein biochemistry experiments to study virus entry into host cells. Whoever is hired will be supervised, but he/she will need to learn to be independent. 20% - Assist with various administrative duties related to the functioning of the laboratory. 10% - Updating inventories of supplies, ordering common chemicals and reagents for the laboratory.
All required qualifications must be documented on application materials.
Required Qualifications: BA/BS (in biology or other related biological science fields, preferred) and at least one year of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience to total 5 years. Experience in the following areas: molecular cloning, cell culture, and protein purification
The qualified candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills; the ability to work independently and to think critically about their research; excellent organizational skills, enthusiasm, creativity and motivation to learn.
