The Certified or Registered Medical Assistant at Boynton Health performs key nursing functions and delegated medical treatments. Assigned responsibilities are carried out in a manner respectful of the rights of patients from diverse populations and conducive to the efficient, effective rendering of high quality ambulatory care.
Detailed Job Responsibilities:
On-call Certified or Registered Assistant will:
Deliver safe, quality patient care to patients under a registered nurse or clinician’s direction and supervision.
Perform delegated medical treatments and procedures according to policies, procedures, and protocols.
Efficiently and accurately record Electronic Health Record information.
Promote a safe, equitable, and respectful environment in which concerns can be addressed effectively

Completion of medical assistant training program.
Certification or Registered as a medical assistant.
Must be able to lift 30 pounds.

License and / or Certification requirements:
Completion of medical assistant training course
Certification or Registered as medical assistant
Customer service skills.
Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relations.
Ability to take initiative and work autonomously, as appropriate, once instruction is given.
Experience working with individuals from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Mobility, agility, and strength to stand, walk, sit, and lift and transport patients for extended periods.
Bending, twisting, stooping, and stretching.
Push and pull wheelchairs and gurneys.
Respond to patient needs in emergencies, including administering CPR.
Exercise good judgment and complete all patient care duties efficiently and effectively.
Vision to read printed and electronic information.
Repetitive hand and wrist motion to operate a keyboard and use standard clinic equipment.
Communicate effectively in English using oral, nonverbal, written, electronic, and visual forms of interaction
