Duties of the position include: (1) Conduct molecular and structural virology research in the field of receptor recognition and cell entry of SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19 virus); (2) Participate in design of projects, planning and executing experiments; (3) Collect and organize data for research activities; (4) Attend, participate, or present at laboratory meetings, seminars, graduate and undergraduate lectures, and conferences as needed; (5) Maintain frequent communication with collaborators, including, if required, traveling to destinations to meet with collaborators and collect data.
Candidates must have completed PhD training by start date and should have a record of success in scientific research (as evidenced in first-author publications in scientific journals). Applicants are expected to have excellent molecular biology protein biochemistry, and structural biology skills. Candidates need to have a strong background in molecular biology.
