Research - Laboratory/Non-Laboratory, Staff/Administrative
Run all immunohistochemistry for the laboratory.(60%) This includes the following: *perfuse animals *harvest tissues *prepare frozen and paraffin tissues *mount slides and stain samples with appropriate antibodies as directed by graduate students or scientist *Keep detailed records of all experiments and procedures in laboratory notebooks
Grow and maintain stable cell culture and cell lines as needed (20%)
Assist undergraduate and graduate students in setting up and running immune assays including cytokine bead array, PCR, and ELISA’s (20%)
All required qualifications must be documented on application materials.
BA/BS or a combination of related education and work experience to equal four years
Previous experience with the following: *Work with antibodies (tittering and conjugation) *Flow Cytomery *ELISA and other immune assays *IHC antibody and microscopy *Writing Standard Operating Procedures and creating presentations *Demonstrated strong organizational skills
