The selected individual will be expected to participate in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of Small Animal Internal Medicine cases presented to the Veterinary Medical Center (VMC). Provide excellent specialty-level care in internal medicine in collaboration with other specialists and emergency veterinarians. Develop loyal referral base with area practices through the provision of excellent service and communication, and integration in the referral community. Work closely with colleagues in the Veterinary Medical Center to provide seamless transition between secondary and tertiary care, support clinical research trials, and provide opportunities for the training of student clinical externs and house officers. Positively represent the hospital in the professional community and to the general public.
Professional and Graduate Education: The selected individual will be expected to participate in the didactic and clinical skills instruction of professional and graduate students. This individual will also be expected to advise and mentor Small Animal Internal Medicine residents.
Minimum qualifications include: DVM or equivalent veterinary degree, completion of an ACVIM Internal Medicine residency or equivalent training, and Board eligible. Preferred experience to include Board Certification.
