Position supports the educational programs of the University by effectuating reservation requests; supervising student employees; providing lighting, audio and visual equipment support for student employees during event and weekend events; directing general maintenance workers; monitoring life safety; and ensuring delivery of quality services to students and patrons. The Coordinator is part of a dynamic environment consisting of new initiatives and evolving programs.
Bachelor's degree, and minimum of one (1) year experience providing operations, event management, or human management in a work setting. Experience garnered through assistantships, internships, or other pre-professional settings will be considered towards the one (1) year of experience.

Demonstrated effectiveness in team building and collaboration with varying partner groups to ensure timely and effective delivery of outcomes; knowledge of student group dynamics.
Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills: demonstrated effectiveness in writing skillfully, speaking notably, and listening attentively.
Excellent administrative skills including an ability to manage multiple priorities.
Demonstrated understanding of audio and visual equipment.
Demonstrated ability to utilize computer applications as it relates to delivering services to students and constituents.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students.
Participation in required weekend and evening events, and projects (position is a Tuesday-Saturday position). During the summer, the position's schedule is adjusted to assist all students, departments and operation units in effectuating reservation requests. Participation in industry related association meetings for the purpose of cultivating new knowledge and opportunities. May be called for consultation or required to response to an emergency on campus at any time. Be able to lift and carry 10-25 pounds frequently, and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
Work safely at all times, which includes but is not limited to, participating in and completing all required safety trainings, as well as performing all job tasks in accordance with Minnesota State University, Mankato policies and procedures utilizing appropriate tools, equipment and personal protective equipment.
