This position will serve as a senior member of the Performance Faculty, teaching classes in Dance (beginning, intermediate and advanced Tap and Jazz; Theatre Dance Partnering, etc.), Movement (introduction for non-dancers), Acting (as qualified, could include acting fundamentals, musical theatre acting, movement based acting techniques, etc.), and Ancillary courses (as qualified, could include audition methods, fundamentals of directing, careers in theatre, etc.).
A typical faculty workload responsibility may include up to twenty four (24) credits of instruction per academic year.
The successful candidate may need to teach in other areas as assigned and qualified.
May be expected to develop and deliver face-to-face, hybrid, and on-line instruction at the Mankato campus, online, and/or at the university's additional locations, as assigned.
The successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues in curriculum design, instruction and evaluation, conduct research productively and mentor students in research, help create innovative strategies for student recruitment, retention, and completion, and may be expected to develop external grant funding opportunities.
All faculty members are expected to engage in scholarly or creative activity or research, in continuing preparation and study, incontributing to student growth and development, and in providing service to the university and community (See Article 22 and Appendix G of the IFO Master Agreement)

This position will also serve the Department of Theatre and Dance as its Theatre Choreographer and usually direct one main stage production (musical or non-musical) per year.
MFA in Theatre Arts or Dance. (Degree must be conferred on an official transcript by date of appointment.)
Demonstrated ability to teach at the college or university level in the required classes.
Minimum three years collegiate teaching experience.
Minimum five years of theatre production experience.
Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.
Demonstrated effective written, oral communication and/or presentation skills.
Demonstrated preparation to teach, advise, and support a wide variety of students.
Experience with advising and mentoring students.

Have or potential to involve undergraduate and/or graduate students in research or creative activity.
Demonstrated ability to be strongly involved in the creative processes of the department, including the directing/choreography of productions.
