Teach courses in the prelicensure nursing program. May also teach courses in the RN-BS completion program. This hybrid program includes online and occasional travel to distance campuses (3 times/semester). The incumbent would be expected to teach courses that would include, but are not limited to, general on campus classroom and lab/simulation nursing courses, and on-site clinical nursing courses focusing on the maternal, child, and family populations. Some possible content areas include: professional nursing, evidence based nursing practice, nursing research, community health nursing, nursing leadership and management, maternal newborn, child adolescent, and family nursing.
Contribute to a program of scholarship within the discipline, student advising, service to the University and community, and other associated faculty duties.
Contribute to interdisciplinary teaching and involvement in activities that support Bemidji State University's shared fundamental values: Civic engagement and leadership, International and multicultural understanding, Belief in the power of the liberal arts, and Environmental stewardship.

Master's degree in nursing from a regionally accredited institution at the start of employment.
Recent nursing practice OR clinical teaching experience with a maternal/child or pediatric population.
Has or is eligible for MN RN licensure.
Candidates must meet background study requirements according to MN Statutes and clinical facilities' requirements.
Doctor of Nursing Practice degree, or PhD in nursing or an associated health care, leadership, or education field.
Experience teaching in baccalaureate nursing education.
Nursing practice OR clinical teaching experience in an acute care maternal/child or pediatric setting within the last five years.
Experience with use of simulation in prelicensure nursing education.
Skills/ability to design and deliver online courses with Desire to Learn (D2L) software.
Demonstrated commitment to quality teaching.
The applicant should demonstrate a knowledge of and interest in diverse cultures and populations.
