Primary duties will be to conduct independent research in a virology and RNA biology program and annually publishing peer-reviewed studies.
Responsibilities include: Participating in the design, implementation and evaluation of collaborative research studies; analyzing and interpreting data; performing bioinformatic research; creating publication-quality figures and legends summarizing data; assisting with manuscript and grant preparation; managing an up-to-date legible and self-explanatory scientific notebook and database of reagents; preparing slides and posters and presenting results and relevant literature during lab meetings and appropriate scientific conferences.
Required Qualifications: Doctorate degree and strong publication record
Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. in Biophysics, Genetics, Microbiology or related field, with specialized knowledge of RNA structural biology and epigenetic modification and a passion for science writing. Experience in bioinformatics and NextGen data analysis is a plus. Individuals who are self-motivated with solid virology and biophysics background.
