Description of Position This Scholarship Coordinator is responsible for the daily operations of the Coffman Bookstore’s Scholarship department. They maintain accurate administration of internal and external AR accounts, and positive relationships with scholarship programs and customers. This position serves on the Bookstore’s Operations team ensuring excellent customer service and compliance in all activities This position reports to the Scholarship Supervisor.
Responsibilities • Maintain internal and external accounts in the Scholarship AR system and PeopleSoft financial. • Process textbook buyback paperwork including reissues, book purchases, account charges and reports. • Respond to customer inquiries regarding scholarship issues. • Ensure allowance verification for all programs including working with Athletics and NCAA rules regarding book scholarship authorizations. • Provide audits to scholarship providers to assure Bookstore accuracy. • Set-up departmental charge accounts as approved. • Review inclusive access charges for Scholarship students and assigned verifications. • Train and supervise student and temporary staff and participate in the Bookstores’ Student Development Outcomes Program. • Balancing, cash room duties, open/closing duties. • Miscellaneous duties as assigned and assist in web/graduation as needed. • Assist in Textbook Department as needed.

Work Environment Work is performed mainly in a retail store and office setting.
This position is covered by the AFSCME Clerical Union.
Minimum Qualifications • High School Diploma/GED and two years of related office and administrative experience. Training/education may be substituted for some of the years of experience. Computer experience required. • One-year customer service and cash handling experience in a retail setting
Preferred: Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and Google Software platforms.
Preferred: Accounts Receivable Experience.
Preferred: PeopleSoft training.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Ability to work with people and communicate effectively. • Knowledge of retail sales. • Basic computer skills and knowledge. • Excellent customer service skills. • Ability to lead. • Cash handling proficiency.
