Position Description: The Assistant Coach is responsible for providing support to all aspects of a competitive NCAA Division III baseball program that advances the mission of intercollegiate athletics and the University. The assistant coach assists the head coach in student recruiting and retention efforts; supports the building of a diverse and inclusive team; coaches student athletes and fosters their skill development; assists in coaching plans and implementation at practices and competitions; provides for students’ safety, health and wellbeing; complies with NCAA, UMAC and university policies; provides sound fiscal management; assists in equipment oversight, scheduling, travel planning, and summer camps; assists in off-season programs and athlete development; and assists in program communication and fundraising efforts.
The University of Minnesota Morris Intercollegiate Athletics seeks an Assistant Baseball Coach. This is a part-time 9-month annually renewable appointment that carries a $7,500.00 annual salary. The qualifications are as follows:
Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required. Experience with a competitive baseball program is preferred. The position requires strong organization, oral and written communication skills, and the demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds. The preferred candidate will demonstrate an appreciation for NCAA DIII, be self-directed and motivated, work with integrity, and bring skills and abilities to help advance the program.
