This position leads the design, development and management of the MN Hwy Safety & Research Center's on-line programming and course development using the ADDIE model of instructional design, in collaboration and consultation with subject matter experts, classroom instructors, clients and other stakeholders to ensure the highest quality training solutions. This position will be a resource for design, development and publication of online classes and management of the online course delivery systems.
Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, or related area or minimum 3 years instructional design experience.
Ability to analyze performance gaps and to work collaboratively with subject matter experts for design creation and solutions to include training and non-training interventions.
Advanced knowledge, expertise, and experience designing developing, implementing and authoring e-learning with tools such as Articulate Storyline and/or Adobe Captivate, as well experience developing content with Adobe CC products.
Ability to manage multiple training projects; document project plans; collaborate with SMEs, clients and other stakeholders to establish project timelines; and communicates project updates.
Advanced knowledge in design and technologies standards to support LMS and online delivery.
Knowledge of various learning development technologies and the ability to determine best fit.
Strong leadership skills in managing learning programs, resources and the ability to work independently.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, highly organized and an attention to detail.
Master's degree preferred.
Knowledge of traffic safety issues and initiatives.
