The Division of Vascular Surgery at the University of Minnesota and the Fairview Vascular Service Line, led by Amy B Reed, MD, are seeking a board certified vascular surgeon with a focus in complex aortic work. This physician will join vascular surgeons who currently perform all manner of open and endovascular procedures specializing in peripheral vascular interventions, carotid disease, and complex aortic pathology. The candidate must have demonstrated interest and ability to work within a multidisciplinary framework to provide comprehensive vascular care to our patients . The Division works within collaborative framework with Interventional Radiology to drive quality and outcomes. In addition, this position is expected to participate in or lead related research, teach and train medical students and residents, and participate in activities and initiatives to support the goals, mission, and values of the Vascular Division, Department of Surgery, and University of Minnesota.
-MD, MD/PHD, or DO degree or equivalent
-Must have completed an approved fellowship in vascular Surgery
-Must be Board-certified in vascular surgery with minimum of 5 years of post-fellowship job experience with complex open and endovascular surgery
-Must have or be eligible to obtain a Minnesota medical license
-A demonstrated history of effective and collegial communication with students, colleagues, and patients
-Experience in academic medicine
-Commitment to a collaborative interdisciplinary approach to vascular care
