The mission of the Center for Law and Business is to provide students with the knowledge, skills and practical experience needed to succeed as business leaders, business managers, and business lawyers.
Reporting to and working with the Director of the Center for Law and Business, the Assistant Director will assist in the implementation the strategic plan for the Center including:
Managing and coordinating the Law and Business Certificate program;
Planning and managing the Center’s activities including student events and Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminars;
Collaborating with internal constituencies such as MHSL Administration and the Departments of Marketing and Communications, Development and Alumni, and Career and Professional Development, faculty, and student organizations on Center initiatives;
Organizing and supporting Center Advisory Board activities; and
Assist the Director in curricular and strategic planning, fundraising, and marketing activities.
Qualifications: J.D.; 5 years’ experience in law and/or business (experience in leadership, advisory or entrepreneurial roles highly desired); proven leadership skills including ability to set direction and participate as a team player; effective interpersonal and communication skills; and ability to work collaboratively and effectively with colleagues.
