About the Job: The Division of Vascular Surgery at the University of Minnesota is seeking a qualified individual to fill a full-time clinical faculty member position on one of the following tracks: Tenure, Academic, or Master Clinician. Rank and Track will be determined according to the qualifications and interest of the candidate. Qualified candidates must have an M.D. degree and be certified with added qualifications in general vascular surgery. Candidates will have experience in endovascular and open vascular surgical techniques demonstrated interest and ability to work within a multidisciplinary framework to provide comprehensive vascular care to our patients. The Division works within collaborative framework with Interventional Radiology to drive quality and outcomes. The candidate must also demonstrate commitment to the following types of activities: scholarly teaching, mentoring/advising, learner assessment, and/or research expertise.
Responsibilities include participating in graduate and undergraduate medical education as above; assuming an active role in patient care in the area of vascular surgery, and full participation in professional service activities such as educational taskforces/committees. The position will be based at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview with potential additional responsibilities at affiliated practice sites. This position is open until filled.
Required Qualifications: ï‚•MD, MD/PHD, or DO degree or equivalent ï‚•Must have completed an approved fellowship in vascular Surgery ï‚•Must be Board-certified in vascular surgery with experience with complex open and endovascular surgery ï‚•Must have or be eligible to obtain a Minnesota medical license ï‚•A demonstrated history of effective and collegial communication with students, colleagues, and patients
