Associate Director of Financial Aid and Information Systems The Office of Financial Aid at Whittier College seeks an Associate Director of Financial Aid and Information Systems.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week Exempt Status: Exempt Full Time/Part Time status: Full time Salary Range: $50,000-$52,000; Salary will commensurate with experience, skills, and knowledge.
Reports To: Director of Financial Aid
Location/Department: Whittier College (Main Campus)/Financial Aid
Responsibilities: Primary Responsibilities Manage financial aid database and implementation of upgrades and patches. Manage and update all ad hoc and weekly reporting. Keep up-to-date on new developments in financial aid systems. Train financial aid staff in appropriate use of financial aid systems including Banner, Argos and others. Ensure compliance with regulations regarding information flow and technical requirements set forth by the federal and state government. Import and export key data to and from COD including ISIRs and various COD files. Reconcile Federal grant and loan programs monthly and at the end of the cycle; formally close COD financial aid years at the end of the cycle.
Secondary Responsibilities Maintain and manage financial aid loan programs, Pell grant program and Cal Grant program. Assist Enrollment Information Systems Manager with financial aid data and reporting. Assist financial aid staff with reporting and automated email and letter generation.
Tertiary Responsibilities Basic financial aid counseling. Maintain Financial Aid Office technical equipment including upgrading hardware and software as needed.

Position Specifications and Requirements: 2-3 years Financial Aid Experience Familiarity with Banner preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and Windows. Familiarity with Access and Argos preferred. Familiarity with external financial aid systems such as COD, CPS and EdConnect. Ability to travel to 2-3 conferences per year and report back to the Financial Aid Team important updates and usage guidelines.
