Reporting to the Controller, the Budget Analyst and Staff accountant will be responsible for complex accounting duties which include: managing the School’s overall budget process; processing of journal entries; performing account reconciliations; analysis of data; coordination of month end close and preparation of management reports and financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. This position also coordinates the annual audit process and oversees the fixed asset system.
Qualifications: bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business with 5 years experience in accounting, financial statement preparation and analysis (may consider combination of education and experience) and budget process management; thorough and demonstrated knowledge or Generally Accepted Accounting Principles; demonstrated experience with an integrated accounting system; advanced MS excel skills, including pivot tables; advanced power point skills; superior attention to detail; excellent communication and customer service skills; and effective organization skills.
