The Department of Horticultural Science at the University of Minnesota receives and evaluates applications from candidates for part- and full-time temporary research positions on a continuous basis. Positions become available at different times throughout the year depending on faculty grant success; positions are not continually available. This posting is active until 06/15/2020.
Duties/Responsibilities: The open temporary positions are obtainable to persons holding an earned Ph.D. Degree with applicable research training and/or experience; degree must be in hand at the time of appointment. The positions vary in area of research specialization depending on availability of funding. Positions may be available in plant breeding, molecular genetics, plant hardiness, hormonal growth regulation, juvenility, environmental physiology, plant nutrition, post-harvest physiology, GIS data analysis and mapping, regional design, agroecology, and organic horticulture.
Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. with applicable research experience.
