This Assistant Director of the Office of Intercultural and International Life position focuses on the supervision of three cultural houses as well as bringing in speakers and programs targeted to increase awareness and understanding of topics related to diversity, race, and inclusion. This position is one of a four member office staff, who works collaboratively with student staff to ensure the continued implementation of comprehensive student life programs and services on diversity, student leadership development, cross-cultural programming, cultural sensitivity, and current higher education topics.
The Office of Intercultural & International Life (OIIL) fosters a campus-wide climate of respect. The office reflects the changing paradigms of the growth of many U.S. cultures reflected by currently enrolled students of color and international students and the needs of a diverse intercultural community. 28% of our student community identify as people of color. Reporting through the Division of Student Life, OIIL leads the charge in supporting our students of color.
This is a full-time, 11-month (.92 FTE) position, fully benefit eligible position.

The successful candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree with minimum of two years of directly related experience, professional experience with college age students in a college or university setting, and demonstrated experience with leading programming efforts on topics relating to diversity, race, and cross-culturalism. Preferred: Master’s Degree in College Student Personnel, Higher education Administration, or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated success working with traditionally underrepresented student populations, diversity training skills, and knowledge of an understanding of the residential liberal arts college environment.
