Research - Laboratory/Non-Laboratory, Staff/Administrative
Job Duties/Responsibilities: (40%) Assist in the research in a molecular and cellular neuroscience/stem cell lab for disease modeling by setting up and carrying out experiments using patient derived induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC) and novel mouse modeling. Input findings and/or results in database.
(40%) Collaborate with PI by researching and presenting information on furthering the understanding of pathophysiology of neurodengenerative diseases and identify/recommend novel pathways and targets for the development of therapy.
(10%) Prepare and analyze, process and compile and summarize data for review and presentation. Assist with publications.
(10%) Maintain lab space including computer (hardware & software), supplies, etc.
All required qualifications must be documented on application materials.
Required Qualifications: -BS/BA and 1 year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience to equal five (5) years -Experience in biochemical techniques in neuroscience or stem cell biology.
Preferred Qualifications: -Cell culture and/or experience with rodent research
