Provide support for faculty and students to facilitate a successful student experience and positive transition from student to licensed novice nurse.
Maintain academic standards and course expectations.
Provide student support through:
Implementation of a School of Nursing Orientation program.
Available office hours for individualized support.
Collaboration with faculty in the implementation of success sessions and workshops.
Recognition of student achievements on standardized exams.
Identification of available learning resources appropriate for the students learning style.
Identification of students who score below established benchmark related to unit and standardized examinations.
Development of individualized academic plans based on areas for improvement.
Provide faculty support through:
Liaison role for online student learning resources.
Availability as a referral source for students requiring individualized coaching.
Development of standardized NCLEX preparation and success workshops as requested.
Review of various testing and standardized NCLEX reports to communicate areas of strength and needing improvement. Communication of student success activities and updates through email and attendance at level meetings.
Communication of students requiring course remediation.
Teach courses as assigned in workload.
Assist with Lab Skills, teaching, testing and remediation as needed.
Participate in School of Nursing faculty meetings, activities and committees as assigned.
Participate in University activities, meetings, activities and committees as assigned.
Full-time faculty member
MSN required, preferably in Nursing Education. Earned doctorate or enrolled in desirable.
Two years teaching experience required.
Minimum five years work experience as registered nurse.
Demonstrated technology skills including the ability to navigate online system applications
