The Department of Medicine, University of Minnesota, is seeking an individual to join the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition Division at the academic rank of assistant or associate professor. The preferred physician candidate will have an interest in the continued development of our hepatology and transplant hepatology programs. Responsibilities include inpatient attending on the liver service, outpatient liver clinics, consultations and outreach activities. The individual will also participate in the education of medical students, residents and fellows. Finally, it is anticipated that this individual will develop a clinical research program. The recruit will be an active, ongoing participant in the academic missions of the Department of Medicine and the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition. Requirements for the position include an MD degree, board certification in Internal Medicine, three years' fellowship in gastroenterology, advanced training in hepatology and clinical experience in hepatology and/or transplant hepatology. Advanced training in transplant hepatology is highly desirable. Applicants for this position will demonstrate excellence in patient care, enthusiasm for medical education, and strong teaching skills.
