The Cardiovascular Division at the University of Minnesota has established a regional and national reputation as a source of imaging medicine clinical care, based on creative clinical research. The Division is now recruiting a cardiologist, on the academic clinical scholar track, in its Imaging section. The candidate will work closely with Cardiovascular Division and Imaging Medicine leadership to expand the University’s clinical and academic missions. The position will be based on 80% clinical and 20% protected research effort.
Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree and have demonstrated high-level qualifications in education, research and clinical care. Internal Medicine board certified or board eligible status, Cardiology Board certified or board eligible and a Minnesota medical license is required.
Required areas of expertise include advanced training and expertise in clinical imaging medicine. Candidates should have experience in leading or supporting vascular medicine post-graduate fellowship training. Candidates should have be recognized for provision of clinical excellence and a publication track record of successful imaging medicine clinical research; evidence of prior leadership in clinical program development; and ideally have demonstrated national imaging medicine leadership and/or service.
Applicants must have the ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of VISA category while in the United States.
