Design and engineer software to meet business needs, using a variety of languages including Java, Ruby, and Perl.
Extend and integrate software packages as needed based on functional requirements provided by business units.
Collaborate with other technical areas (Database Administration, System Administration, Change Control, etc.) to ensure application performance and availability expectations are met.
Monitor and maintain production applications and systems. Evaluate and follow through on issues and problems until resolved or escalated.
Design novel solutions for new programs, system integrations, or application enhancements.

Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of development experience or a comparable combination of education, experience, and/or training.
Demonstrated experience and proficiency with object oriented languages such as Java, Ruby, C#, or others, including thorough knowledge of design patterns and best practices.
Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies in a fluid, professional environment.
