Primary teaching responsibilities, which may include providing instruction for lecture and active learning in undergraduate transfer-level Sociology classes
Continuous curriculum development, including the design, revisions, and implementation of instructional materials and assessment of learner outcomes
Integration of assessment activities into teaching practices and participation in department and college-wide assessment of student learning
Support of the success and development of students through the use of a variety of instructional methods, available office hours, and by providing additional resources
Development and implementation of on-campus, online and hybrid courses
Availability to teach at any of our locations during the daytime, evening or weekend in order to maximize enrollment and meet the needs of our diverse student population
Contribution into department decisions on budget, scheduling, textbook selection, etc.
Participation in discipline, team, campus, and college matters through service on committees; attendance at regular meetings; and continued professional development
Support and advance the department and college mission through ideas and projects
NOTE: Candidate must be willing to teach on-campus and online courses and available to work a flexible schedule which could include days, evenings and/or weekends. On-campus courses are taught at both Eden Prairie and Brooklyn Park campuses.

Master's degree with a major in sociology or a Master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in sociology
