The selected candidate will develop an externally funded research program in cardiac and skeletal muscle biology that leads to an increased understanding of stem cell self-renewal and differentiation and mechanisms of disease.
Qualifications include a PhD degree and documented research focus in cardiac and skeletal muscle biology and disease modeling. The successful candidate will bring to the position a foundation of data he/she has generated in this area of research. The applicant must have one or more peer reviewed manuscripts (published or submitted) in cardiac and skeletal muscle biology and disease modeling.
