The University of Minnesota Department of Anthropology is inviting applications for part-time, temporary teaching possitions for openings that may occur beginning Fall 2017 through Summer 2018 to teach courses that cannot be staffed by regular faculty or graduate students.
Cours topics may include but are not limited to: Understanding Cultures, Cultural Anthropology, and Human Evolution.
This posting does not constitute a posting for vacancies but establishes a pool of applicants should opening occur during the 2017-2018 acacdemic year. Applications will not be acknowledged upon receipt and will only be reviewed should openings occur. Appointments may be renewable based upon need, funding, and performance.
Teaching specialists and lecturers will be expected to teach undergraduate or graduate students in assigned course(s), hold office hours to assist and advise students, and participate in relevant departmental meetings.
Lecturer: Ph.D. in Anthropology or related field and one year of college-level teaching experience
Teaching Specialist: Masters in Anthropology or related field and one year of college-level teaching experience.
