Part-time temporary Assistant Professor (non-tenure track) position for spring semester 2019.
Duties and Responsibilities: 1) Teach a graduate course on clinical assessment of mental disorders and personality based on approved course curriculum in consultation with a faculty mentor and/or department head; 2) developing assessment measures (i.e., exams, quizzes, presentations, papers); 3) providing students with grade status throughout the term; and 4) be available to students for office hours and supervision by appointment. Assistant Professors will be evaluated by students and faculty.
Possible course: Assessment II.
Required: Minimum academic qualifications include a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical psychology or related field awarded by December 31, 2018 from a regionally accredited institution, evidence of advanced training in diagnostic interviewing for mental disorders and objective clinical personality assessment (such as the MMPI-2), and evidence of strong written communication skills.
Preferred qualifications include previous teaching experience at the collegiate level (such as Teaching Assistant experience) to a diverse group of students, evidence of effective teaching and academic rigor, evidence of clinical supervision experience, evidence of strong oral communication skills, and demonstrated experience working effectively with diverse groups in educational settings.
